Apple AMP Programm Support Over 450,000 New Jobs, $600 Billion Investment

Apple, a global leader in innovation, revolutionized personal technology, continues to lead with products like the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, has announced to increase its U.S. investment to $600 billion over four years, up from the previous commitment. Via the American Manufacturing Program (AMP), Apple decided to push domestic production and establish a robust U.S.-based supply chain. 

This decision will benefit domestic production as well as create new opportunities for job seekers, expected to support over 450,000 jobs. Research, silicon engineering, artificial intelligence, and software development will be the main focused areas.

U.S. Silicon Supply Chain on the Rise, projected to produce more than 19 billion chips in 2025 alone. The company’s move is to support this ecosystem and make a new milestone in a few years.

Apple also decided to expand its infrastructure, expanding its physical footprint with new and upgraded facilities across the country. Houston, Maiden, Iowa, Austin, and Detroit are major areas where the company may take steps to establish its server factory, data center, R&D facility, and Manufacturing Academy.

On Apple’s AMP Programm, Sabih Khan, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized Apple’s broader vision, said:

“We want America to lead in this critical industry, and we’re expanding our efforts to grow a silicon manufacturing ecosystem that will benefit innovators across America.”

While Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, said:

“Today, we’re proud to increase our investments across the United States to $600 billion over four years and launch our new American Manufacturing Program,” 

“This includes new and expanded work with 10 companies across America.”

Apple employs over 150,000 people worldwide, and with this initiative (Apple AMP Programm), thousands more will add to this number.
